Cairns Laser Skin Resurfacing
Frax 1940
Frax 1940 is a non-ablative fractional diode laser that is used for shallow skin resurfacing, targeting the epidermis and superficial dermis. It has SoftCool technology sending a stream of cool air for comfort during the treatment. The non-ablative laser keeps the skin intact, making the healing process comfortable.
The areas treated with the Frax 1940 are the face, neck, chest and hands.
Treatment with the Frax 1940 will lead to clinical improvement to the overall skin appearance, texture, pigmentation and fine wrinkles.
What is the process during Frax 1940 treatment?
Prior to the treatment, a topical anaesthetic will be applied for 30 minutes to the treated area. The topical anaesthetic is removed and the skin is then thoroughly cleaned and dried. Safety eyewear will be worn during the procedure.
Treatments are performed monthly at approximately 4-week intervals for a total of 3 sessions. Post-treatment you will experience redness, swelling, and possible crusting of the pigmented lesions. The redness can last for 2-3 days with minimal downtime. Post-care involves strict sun protection and ample moisturization.
